Hi I'm Ashley Dean
I am currently studying a Fashion Communication and Promotion degree at Nottingham Trent University. FCP has a strong focus on creativity, visual problem solving and communication within the complex fashion industry.
The course combines a powerful mix of visual and creative skills, as well as in-depth understanding of the increasing relationship between design, communication, retail and commerce.
In our first year at Nottingham Trent we will be studying and exploring the principles of fashion research development and communication, expand our understanding of the fashion and creative landscape, discover visual culture, design and visual awareness and initiate and develop vital industry contacts and networks. Within each year we have the opportunity to go abroad and study aspects of our course, this year we are going to New York.
We have been asked to document our experiences through the blogging medium, here I am going to share my inspiration, planning, and build up to the trip to NYC. As well as a review of my experiences.
"Wise Rabbits goes to New York City" is an extension of my personal style and inspiration blog "Wise Rabbit Says". I felt it needed a separate platform in order to discuss and document my New York trip in the context of my university assignment.
